For sponsors and advertisers
Advertising and sponsorship
Advertising keeps the calendar free for everyone. Ads reach the people who plan and go to tech events, by city and topic.
Placements
| Placement | Where | Size |
|---|---|---|
| Top banner | Above the calendar on desktop | 728 × 90 |
| Side panel | Beside the calendar and on every event page | 300 × 250 |
| Mobile banner | On phones | 320 × 100 |
| Search sponsor | When a search finds nothing | One line of text |
| Widget slot | Inside the events widget on partner sites | 300 × 100 |
Campaigns are booked by the week and can target a city or topic.
The rules
- Every ad is labelled Sponsored.
- Ads never change which events are listed or the order they appear in. Our own events follow the same listing rules as everyone else’s.
- We check every creative before it runs, and may decline one.
- When no campaign is booked, the space shows our own notices.
The full ad policy has the detail.
Book a campaign
Use Ask about a campaign on the Advertise page: tell us what you want to promote and when. We reply within two working days with options and prices.
See how your campaign is doing
Give us the email addresses of the people on your side. When they sign in with one of them, their account page shows Your ads: views, clicks and click rate for each campaign, by placement, by calendar view (city and topic) and by day. Views are counted without cookies.
