Privacy and help

A short, plain version. The privacy policy and terms on the site are the full text.

What we keep

  • Organisers: your name, email and organisation, the event details, and what you agreed to. Your contact details are never shown on the site.
  • Members: your email and name, the events you saved, organisers you follow, your email settings and any directory profile.
  • Everyone: counts of page views and clicks, with each visitor counted once an hour and search engines left out.

Your data is held in Australia. Email and customer-records providers handle contact details on our behalf. Listings that are never approved are deleted after 90 days.

Cookies and scripts

  • Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days.
  • Google Analytics only runs if you choose Allow analytics when we ask. Change your mind any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
  • The submit form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check you are a person, and keeps your draft in your own browser until you submit.
  • Ads use no cookies or tracking pixels. The events widget on other sites sets no cookies.

Emails we send

  • Sign-in codes, when you ask for one.
  • About your listing, if you are an organiser: received, live, declined, reminders and a new edit link after each change.
  • About events you saved, if the date changes or they are cancelled or postponed.
  • New events, only if you turned that on, daily or weekly.
  • Guide updates, if you downloaded a guide; turn them off in your account.

Getting help

How do I contact you?

Use the contact page. A person reads every message. For advertising, the Advertise page has its own form.

A listing is wrong or not a real event

Choose Report this listing at the bottom of the event page. A moderator looks at every report.

How do I correct or delete my details?

Change your email or delete your account yourself under Account settings on your account page. For anything else, use the contact page. You can stop any of our emails from the link in it, or from your account page.

I lost my edit link

On your event’s page, choose Email the organiser an edit link. It goes to the email you submitted with.
